I'm finding myself going to our local Tesco more and more these days. It's our nearest supermarket (in fact, it's only a few hundred metres away), so it's great if we run out of cotton balls, nappies, bin bags or clean trousers.
It's quite common to find things tagged on to shelves of things that go well together. For example, you might find bags of nuts near the beer, or plastic spoons near the yoghurts, that sort of thing. That's probably got a clever psycho-babble-esque marketing-type name, but personally I think it makes sense to do this. Men (particularly men, let's be honest) realise that they "need" these things that go so well together (our wives will of course remind us that we have plenty of plastic spoons - or metal ones for that matter!), and Tesco make cash out of our forgetfulness. Everyone's a winner.
Of late, however, things have been getting a little bizarre. Having a decent camera-phone in my pocket means that I can show this weirdness off to you too. The internet is good at weirdness.
Here's your starter for 10 - Biscuits and Scart leads - where did they get that idea from?
Weird.
